My current showreel for 2018 is collection of glimpses into a variety of animated projects. Ranging from short movies in 3D and clay stop motion to advertorial clips for online and offline use. I am usually found scripting story boarding visualising animating and editing those in a team or on my own. The software packages used for the creation of most of the projects are, 3Ds Max, After effects and Flash. The projects included in the showreel have been screened at animation festivals, featured on web banners, part of online experiences, delivered on airport screens, and on video billboards.
This showreel is a summary of a lot passion, time and dedication gone into my motion projects.
Creating book covers is one of the best assignments one can have. Interpreting the writing visually in a concentrated form of a single image is a consuming, exciting, challenging… Adding the responsibility of determining the fate of a title in a particular market makes takes the task to another level. Coupling an artistic response with the responsibility of giving the book a chance to reach out for the chooser’s attention is a design balancing act. Seeing the final layout multiplied and ready for distribution is as satisfying as seeing someone picking up the book amongst the the sea of choice, looking at it, reading the annotation at the back and finally committing to the book.
I approach each assignment afresh and as a response to the writing, the target audience and the editor’s brief. I aim to provide alternative solutions and options to reinvent myself and the approach. The result needs to be true to the book, commercially reasonable and technically perfect.
Below is a selection of the titles I have worked on:
Señor Vivo and the Coca Lord Novel by Louis de Bernières
Grief Is the Thing with Feathers
Novel by Max Porter
Novel by John Edward Williams
Three Apples Fell from the Sky
Novel by Narine Abgaryan

A ball of calligraphic twine to guide the lost and the wondering trough the labyrinth.
This is a logo mark for the independent publishing house Labyrinth which now just two year of its existence is making a significant impact with books like Louis de Bernières‘s Señor Vivo and the Coca Lord and Rilke‘s The notebooks of Malte Laurids Brigge both of which I have designed the covers for.
Twelve illustrations for a printed and interactive legal publication on data centres visualising connection lines running trough different regions’ complex jurisdictions. Inspired by the IDE cables found inside computers this was equally suitable to be created in illustrator and 3ds max. I chose to do it with vectors so it was less photo realistic and it had more of an handcrafted and illustrated feel to it.
Being a visual designer and artist I have always tried to have strong grounding in illustration. These are examples of my work which are done for various clients and personal projects and exhibit the variety of styles, materials and approaches I employ.
If you are looking for an illustrator or simply would like to ask me a question, feel free to contact me.
I am honoured to be selected for the latest edition the 125World.
